Triangle Business Journal on Friday, September 24, 2010 unveiled the 35 Best Places to Work in the Triangle for 2010. “These awards are a testimony to the good work done by businesses in the Triangle that recognize employees are a company’s most valuable assets,” says Triangle Business Journal publisher Char Grunwaldt. “The emphasis on keeping workers happy and productive is clearly evident among these 35 winners.”

Winners were chosen based on an employee survey process conducted by Quantum Market Research. Once nominated, a company needed to meet a threshold in employee participation – a percentage that varied based upon the size of the company – to be eligible to be honored.

The awards went to companies in each of three size categories: small (10-50 employees), mid-size (51 to 150 employees), large (151 to 999 employees), and giant (1,000+ employees). The top three companies in each category were ranked, with the others in each category listed in alphabetical order. Highmark was a winner in the mid-size business category.
