Director, Education Services

Cindi joined Highmark Companies in October 2011 as the Director of Education Services. She provides leadership for program development and strategic consulting within education environments, ranging from local school districts to international departments of education. Cindi works closely with other Highmark team members to deliver quality education solutions to various clients in government, private businesses and non-profits.

Cindi brings to Highmark Companies over thirty years of experience in education innovation and reform, including school and district transformation/turnaround. She previously served as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction with the Wake County Public School System and worked as a director at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, Community Outreach at NC STEM (MCNC) and the North Carolina New Schools Project. Additionally, she was a senior consultant for the North Carolina Center for 21st Century Skills in the Office of the Governor and for the Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM. Cindi holds an undergraduate degree in English from North Carolina State University, a Master of Education in Curriculum from Duke University and completed her Advanced Graduate Studies in school administration, policy and organizational development at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
